The woman was been deliberately annoying standing in the way of a parade, although the copper was just trying to make up any old excuse to get rid of her.

I thought it was a woman as well but every action of the police was a worry. They simply were going to win at a costs and they did. Totally lawless.
It's a great example of a petty, ignorant, illegal and worrying police force slowly slipping into fascism.
The most worrying thing is how uneducated they either are about the law themselves or whether they deliberately intended to defy their own rules.

Yes Jim.
I knew it would break big today and thanks for the links !
This one is going to run and run. It nails the lie that the Police dont bully innocent people going about their daily business.
The PRESS in particular have been harassed by the POLICE. Anyone writing or standing up to the Police State have had particular attention by the POLICE.
It really is time to cut the Police Budget and make them accountable to local people.
The PEOPLE OF ROMFORD should now decide whether they want this group of POLICE ( clearly pictured acting like a gang of thugs ) on their streets. If it was me I would say NO - and sack the lot of them and let them go and find out what it is like on the benefit system.
This video backs up everything we have been discussing and reading about in the press - it proves beyond any doubt at all the attitude that prevails in the Police and how they misuse their power.

Thanks for posting that shocking video BR.
Unreal that the police can manhandle people for taking photographs in the street when the average UK citizen has a thousand cctv cameras trained on him each day.

You can see hoe the 'pedo' hysteria angle is used as well. Although I would never snap people's kids these days I didn't realize the 'children' they were talking about where those great big cadets.
I can see the court now with people chorlting over the use of the word 'children'

It is a MUST SEE VIDEO all the way through.
The police are a huge organisation employing 10s of thousands of people. This is one copper trying to get rid of an annoying woman who was been deliberately beligerant. It hardly indicates that the police are all a bunch of thugs and totally lawless. On Crimewatch roadshow last week it showed cctv footage of the police in Maidstone have to deal with drunks after the England USA match on tv. One guy was arrested (quite rightly) for abusive and threatening behaviour, the police handcuffed him next to the police car and he preceeded to head butt the car window smashing the windscreen and in the process knocking himself out. This is the kind of idiots they have to put up with every week. If you had to deal with the kind of nutter in your job, then you would get a bit annoyed sometimes.
Re:Shocking Video of New Police Harassment of a Photographer 13 Years, 10 Months ago
No it was not one copper. Look at the photos. It was a WHOLE GROUP of "thuggish" police - trying to intimidate a 16 year old lad.
Sorry - but you obviously have not seen the Police in action recently. Yes there are a few nice Police - often behind the counters of Police Stations ( they have received training in Public Relations ) but out on the street they lie and cheat and enforce themselves on the General public. It is not pretty.
These are not isolated incidents. The You Tube network is full of them - the Daily Mail - just at the G20 we saw incidents into double figures for just one day including the MURDER of Ian Tomlinson and the shocking attack by PC SMELLIE on the woman with a juice carton ( dangerous weapon ) : The "POLICE COURT" ruled he did not attack her - despite CCTV showing that he did very clearly......reminds me of the goal that was not a goal. It is only an attack if the POLICE say it is an attack - it is only a murder if the POLICE say it is a murder.
Sorry Robbie - the rest of us know what is happening on the street. For every good Policeman there are 100 jobsworth STATE TROOPERS who want to be like ROBOCOP in the movies and star in reality TV. That is what I see on a daily basis. That is the experience of 95% of the population and only those who work for or with the Police want to see it otherwise.

You clearly have not been listening to the same video, robbie.
This young lad is in no way being belligerent. All he is doing is asking the police again and again on what grounds are they asking to see his id they constantly change their reasons as each time he is given another spurious reason.... 'it is illegal to photograph children in public' - it isn't... 'it is illegal to photograph policemen' - it isn't.
It is this young man's right to know why he is being stopped, moved on, detained. That is all he is doing.
To compare him to a drunken lout is just bloody ridiculous.
