As I said before - if the Police show such a show of force then fail to catch Mr Moat then the public mood will change to one of RIDICULE.

This is now happening. The posing and pouting of the armed police in their totally unsuitable City Style armoured vehicles and RAF Tornado support and silly meetings have now been shown to be totally useless.

This operation is costing a million pounds a day - we are on DAY 7. By the time they are finished the WHOLE POLICE budget for Northumbria for 2010 will have been used up.

I say the GOVERNMENT must not give them anymore - sack the lot of them and hand over the Policiing of the area to the GIRL GUIDES. They would do a better job of tracking Mr Moat.

The media were hardly hiding their ridicule of the police on C4 News just now ... concentrating more on the mistakes made by the plods (such as calling Moat " a nutter" live on air earlier today), than on any actual search.

They were also criticised for having said, days ago, "the net is closing in" when clearly they haven't got a clue !

An "expert" reminded people of the Epping Forest "killer" some years ago - who managed to evade capture for many weeks.

Seems they found him,but need to use a nightclub bouncer and Paul Gascoigne to get him to surrender.

I'd shoot myself if I though Paul Gascoigne was coming to talk to me !
