I agree with some opinions expressed on this board and disagree with others. If I think I have nothing to add to a thread or discussion, I leave it alone. I too wish more posters would enthuse on the Tipsheet board about music but I find, like the other music boards, it tends to reflect the lack of excitement in the music industry at present, as that industry seems to have gotten rid of the older types and nurtured few new voices, mainly because the majors are dying and the fresh executives are busy trying to establish their own companies - quite right too. Why talk about it when you can be doing it?
The era of intelligent Velvet Rope posts seems to have passed. The Record of the Day appears limited in visitors of quality. Music Week means virtually nothing - it always based itself on retailers, of which there are now very few. Radio and TV have deserted music for other things like auditions.
Our online community caters for specialist tastes rather than general interest. And the younger online people appear to have very short attention spans and very little depth of feeling or appreciation.
The world is changing, as the Walrus may well have said to the Carpenter, just before eating his audience - the oysters.

It boils down to tolerance, and unfortunately LO while you are happy to receive it,you seem less than happy to give it.
As you specified on an earlier post you do feel grateful to be accepted here, after your admitted ghastly crimes against a child. Not a soul has reprimanded you for them,or in any way tried to limit your input here.
BR does have an annoying habit of posting some complete waffle.Yes it does get on the nerves of many here at times, but in the spirit of tolerance we just get on with it.Occasionally somebody like yourself seems to take it too seriously, then before you know it you're even having a dig at him with your signature comment.
I do happen to believe a limit of one top level post a day could help to reduce this problem, but as I'm not the boss I'll happily go along with anything JK deems correct.
I'm not going to grumble about the posts on here if I'm not prepared to participate with more top levelers of my own.The way to change content is by posting quality yourself, not belittling the work of others.
As far as I'm concerned the door should always be left open, for people to go in,or out,but it's always open for you to come back, even if under a new name.
