Very sad case.

Every man alive would love to look at naked teenage girls (or boys) in the showers. Now of course this man has invaded their privacy and I accept that men can't go around doing this sort of thing and have to be punished in some way, but in my honest opinion it's little more than petty theft.

Filming these girls on the toilet, or uploading the film to the internet, would of course be a whole different category.

I notice that some of the comments underneath the Mail article are very sympathetic and are even getting upvoted. Has the Mail readership suddenly become human??!!

Men are very visually oriented. All heterosexual men like to look at naked girls. Mr. Thomas just did it in an inappropriate way and got caught. What he did was wrong but it wasn't enough of a crime to deserve the death penalty. I feel bad for him and his family. I wish the best for his family and hope they make it through this ordeal okay and if there is some sort of life after death I think Paul Thomas deserves forgiveness. He just did something stupid and ended up paying the ultimate penalty.

He did the honorable thing. He discredited his family, his company, and his civic position, suicide was the only option.

Don't know where u got the 'assassination' title from, but it was a good story to draw to our attention.

I thought it was very tragic. Tragic for his family, his victims and for himself. It was a nasty crime and I don't want to make light of its seriousness but there are worse crimes. For someone to end their life like that is just sad, very sad.

Oh innocent accused...the 'honourable thing "?

that's what they once expected gays to do in the woods with a shotgun.

I expect this man saw his life unravelling before him and saw no way out..financially or otherwise.

This is the problem with so-called 'sex crimes' and the hysteria surrounding them...no-one is ever allowed to forget it and they become fodder for the public's perverted desite to read and relsh all the details endlessly.

I believe asasination is the correct word..the media can drive people to do unreasonbable things like take their own life.

Remember ..he may have left a family behind and that includes children in an extended family who pay the price.

But apparently it's OK for a so-called offendors children to be abused in the process.

You forget I was indeed in his position, with a bottle of poison hidden in my pocket for if the verdict went wrong.

He did it himself, that is the difference, and having lost all hope of dignity he did indeed do the right thing.Living such a lowly life after such achievements would have indeed been torture.
You can't blame the media for this,he put himself in the spotlight by standing for public office, and admitted his guilt readily. There must have been ample proof of this.

Never heard of gays being pressurized to commit suicide,in fact you'd be more than likely to be pressured into doing it than to commit hari-kari over being found out.Just ask JK about his school experiences,

Ah but IA you forget my advice, had the verdict gone the wrong way; life can indeed go on, incredibly rewardingly. Don't assume the moral precepts of others and the values instilled in us by social habit and media are the right ones.

Those who live with tragedy and cope with the consequences are the richly rewarded.

Lets look at the type of people who have been jailed and even executed by the state in the past.

Jesus Christ
St Peter
Nelson Mandela
and the list goes on.

It does seem that if you believe in LOVE and EQUALITY you can find yourself locked away for a long time or even killed by the state.

Assassination was the word that came into my head after reading this story.

Many people take suicide as the easy way out. It is a selfish act to be honest because however bad things get it is best to continue fighting.

This is a case of death by Media.

Another reason why I believe the MEDIA should not report Violent crime or Sex crime because it undermines positivity in society.
