<< Bone fragments of St John the Baptist appear to have been found on Sveti Ivan Island near Bulgaria's southern Black Sea.
He is considered one of the most important figures in Christianity.
Further tests are still to be carried out on the fragments, which were discovered late last month. >>

ITK (keeping one foot in the "camp" - just to be on the "safe side") has been increasing interested in this subject since reading "The Jesus Family Tomb" (which claims that bone boxes - ossuaries - belonging to Jesus and his immediate family have been found)a couple of years ago.
It was normal in the Holy Land - for only a short time, around 50 years, around Biblical times - to bury bones in an "ossuary" after they had disintegrated in the tomb.
With the state of the world ITK cannot but wonder whether these finds, coming together at this time - may have greater significance ?
After all, I have all-but given up on human possibilities of fairness, trust and peace, so can only wonder whether divine intervention is at least a possibility (and a forthcoming reality)?
