What links the Edinburgh Deaths with Moat etc. ? 13 Years, 9 Months ago

There is a thread running through the MOAT affair - the BYRD Massacre in Cumbria and these deaths.

Namely a STATE involvement in these people's lives and harassment of them.

1. MOAT - custody battle

2. BIRD - HMRC court case

3. EDINBURGH CHILDREN - custody battle

Surely it is time for the GOVERNMENT to see that the COURTS In the UK are creating these terrible situations.

The "Blood" is on the hands of our JUSTICE SYSTEM which has become a weapon that pushed ordinary people "over the edge" into bizarre behaviour such as this.

Surely there needs to be an enquiry - in addition there needs to be a more far reaching investigation into the effects of the FAMILY COURT in particular on the Mental Health of Parents. The pressure in custody cases seems to be worse than in any other type of case - so things need to change or more innocent children will die.

This is FAR MORE IMPORTANT than SARAH's LAW - a gimmick that will save few if any children. The FAMILY COURTS are responsible for killing sprees in 2010 - and families are suffering all over the UK.

sadly these custody battles become horrendously bitter and are not helped by those fathers organisations that inflame cases by claiming they should have proprietary rights over children.

I do believe that the obvious custodial parent is the mother providing she is sane and capable yet so many men get awful macho battles going and just don't want to pay maintenance for their kids.

On the other hand I do have friends who amicably decided the dad was the better custodial parent as the mum earned more money and could give everyone a better life.

Mind you as a house husband he seems pretty relaxed to his kid's activities and the 12 year old boy at present is going though a phase of siting about the house in silk dressing gowns listening to Noel Coward records.

The dad puts this down to the fact that Julian Clary who he went to school with and visits and stays is an influence.

He accepts it as a positive influence though.
