DNA fingerprinting is not infallible

www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-...g-wrong-results.html

Chilling findings show DNA results presented in court can be wrong.
How many wrongful convictions do we have because of this?

I actually have correspondence from the man (credited) with having discovered DNA, and he confirmed that the scientific community had known for appx 15 years that DNA can be manufactured.

The POLICE have invested much "Spinning" to claim that DNA is infallible. The general public believe this and convict every time there is DNA evidence.

A Panorama programme showed that one bloke was accused and he was literally hundreds of miles away and housebound. The Police still did not let him off the hook though !!

DNA can be transferred via door handles and hairs that leave our body as we walk around. Therefore our DNA could literally be found just about anywhere in the UK or World.

In addition if someone wanted to "stitch up" someone they could easily for instance transfer some hair from a hairbrush into their ( for instance ) vaginal or anal cavity - thus making any DNA testing of their intimate parts bring up a DNA positive for the person they have taken the hair from !!!!

DNA on its own is not a reason to convict anyone. Evidence needs to be wide ranging and needs to be untainted by prejudice. We convict far too many people on paper thin evidence these days. Time to reduce the prison population and generally convict when we have STRONG evidence - like the CCTV evidence against the POLICE like SMELLIE and the TOMLINSON killers ( which the CPS ignore of course )

... and how much of this DNA "evidence" is planted, either directly, or by NOT handling the evidence properly and "allowing" it to become contaminated ?(as happened when an "ammunition particle" was found on Barry George's coat? The police forgot to tell everyone that the coat had been kept, unbagged, in their firearms room !!!)
