Police encourage public to report neighbours with curtains drawn. 13 Years, 8 Months ago

A radio advert urging listeners to report suspected terrorists has been banned by a watchdog for potentially offending law-abiding people.

The anti-terrorist hotline ad suggests suspicious behaviour may include paying with cash and keeping curtains drawn.

The Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo), which was behind the campaign, said seemingly insignificant behaviour could be linked to terrorism.

But the Advertising Standards Authority ruled it could cause "serious offence".

What a society we now live in.

The police can execute civilians at will without fear of accountability, and at the same time they want us to report eccentric neighbours who keep the curtains drawn for being a threat to society.

Can't wait to get out of here.

I think we will start to see a big "shift" in police practise over the next few months.

Thousands of them are going to get the sack, and the rest have their wages and overtime cut.

They will be terrified of anyone making a (valid) complaint against them (as Chief Comstables - who themselves are going to become accountable, will want to distance themselves from anyone who is "trouble") - and as we saw yesterday, the CPS has started to act on the evidence these days (and started prosecutions !!!).

Yes - hopefully the "bad apples" in the POLICE will disappear now that the big wages and New Labour "powers" have been stopped.

The POLICE have become an ugly group of people - I do hope that they can restore their image as protectors of the Public and not persecutors of the public as most people now see them.

get yourself one of those automated curtain openers to open and close at regular intervals.

In fact you can buy those dummies that look like real people..perhaps a housewife in an apron and hoovering the floor.

In fact a false backdrop like a Hollywood film with a happy family etc.

I could teach those with evil intentions a few tricks.
