Rabbi Yosef expressed the wish that "all the nasty people who hate Israel, like Abu Mazen (Abbas), vanish from our world".

He went on to say: "May God strike them down with the plague along with all the nasty Palestinians who persecute Israel."

In 2001 he called for the annihilation of Arabs and said it was forbidden to be merciful to them.

That's interesting. In Ha'Aretz it's translated as "perish".

The rabbi has previously referred to Arabs and Palestinians as "snakes" and "vipers" who were "swarming like ants".

They also have a photo of him .... he looks like something prehistoric !

Just one person - we should not tar the whole Jewish race because one old nutcase says some crazy things. Anymore than Islam should judge the UK by the rantings of Tony Blair and his lies.

Extremists exist in every society - whether they are humanist or religious or just plain nutty warmongers.

Ignore them - they do not matter LOVE Is the answer to the whole thing and if we spent more time loving each other and less pontificating extreme views and allowing ourselves to be polarised by such things then THOSE who wish us to be divided and to have war would lose all influence immediately.

War is created out of such comments by those who wish to divide and enslave our world.

This ex Rabbi is going to hell - we dont need to judge him - the words from his own mouth have prepared his own future unless he repents and realises the errors of his ways........God's judgement is always fair and he judges our hearts not our words.

You are right .... we have to judge them in the context of EVERYTHING that they have done to the Palestinians (and anyone else who stood in their way).
