Harry Redknapp and the BBC reporter 13 Years, 8 Months ago
Now Harry has often been called a "wheeler dealer" many times before. Why now should he act like he does on this video? Could it be to do with his forthcoming court case?

Oh dear, another Premier manager who won't talk to the BBC then?

A bit harsh, seeing as it was a Sky reporter asking him the question!

[On the related subject of Alex Ferguson's ludicrous ongoing boycott of the BBC, I checked up on the timeline of that and it reveals how dishonest the whole thing is:

In 2003, Slur Drinkalot launched a legal action against John Magnier, a Manchester United shareholder and head of the Coolmore Stud, to 'recover' a half-share of the lucrative stud-rights to the stallion, Rock of Gibraltar.

When Magnier pushed on with demands (which predated this dispute) for the club to investigate alleged conflicts of interest relating to transfers and agents, Ginsoak wailed to the media that 'the Ferguson family' was being persecuted because of his law suit.

Then, predictably, several media investigations followed, including the BBC documentary. Ginsoak reacted by settling his dispute with Magnier - he couldn't spoil his trips to the races, after all - and ignored everything else EXCEPT the BBC programme, claiming that the BBC was behind all of his family's misfortunes.

So as I said, it's rank hypocrisy, and, as usual, it's being ignored by all of those poltroons in the press who help keep this nasty piece of work in business.]

I should clarify: the reason why Ferguson continues to boycott BBC Sport is because BBC News and Current Affairs broadcast a documentary investigating, amongst other things, Ferguson Jnr's alleged improper deals with his Dad as a football agent. It was these allegations that Magnier had already asked Ferguson's own club to investigate several months earlier. Then numerous journalists joined in, and, THREE months after Ferguson moaned about all the interest, the BBC broadcast its summary. So his claim these days that the BBC, on its own, 'invented' the story and then refused to apologise to him (for reporting the other reports!) is the kind of absolute tosh that Fergie's mate Alistair Campbell tries to get away with. And the rest of the media never point out this simple factual and chronological inaccuracy in the red-nosed bully's blusterings. (Old 'Arry Redknapp did boycott a few broadcasters when he was investigated, but, to his credit, he soon realised he was being silly and carried on as normal.)
