Much as I really loathe her and her robotic politics-speak, I think Harriet Harman would be a better candidate to get the party through the next couple of years. They'll just be shouting into the wind, so they might as well have someone who'll do it loudly without harbouring any other ambitions. Diane is too authentic to have to put up with these human suit-hangers. As is Alan Johnson - a real person who actually has some humility. (Did you catch his 'Failed Rock Star' radio series recently on Radio 4? Very endearing.)

Blair, in Europe discussing finances, refuses to take a phone call from his own Chancellor. Extraordinary - and even more extraordinary that he admits it with pride and humour.

A salutory lesson for the future -
[B-Liar] - "On 2 May 1997, I walked into Downing Street as PM for the first time. I had never held office, not even as the most junior of junior ministers. It was my first and only job in government".

Harriet Harman is pure evil. That would be the day to take to the streets. Her and Jackboot Jacqui are the reason that this country is in such a mess because BROWN could not be bothered to actually do anything and just sat there preening himself once he had the job he coveted.

Agree totally BR,just listen to her views on sexual offenders, and more importantly those accused of(wrongly).
It's man haters like her in the former government who changed the laws, making it easier for accusers to avoid scrutiny.

Remember when Harriet wanted only women shortlists?
That is until a certain Mr Jack Dromey (Labour Party Treasurer) wanted a seat -
then one was quickly found for him.
Mr Jack Dromey just happens to be Harriet's husband (but I'm sure thats entirely a co-incidence LOL !)
