Ronaldo getting a red card for Rooney 17 Years, 10 Months ago
All this stuff in the papers in nonsense about Ronaldo making the ref give Rooney a red card. He only complained that it was a foul, as is his right. Rooney got the red card because he kicked someone in the nuts, end of.

Is it awful to say that perhaps more footballers should be kicked in the nuts? 17 Years, 10 Months ago
And that I chuckled at Ronaldo's wicked little wink (and followup pursed lips - I've always had my suspicion about darling Christiano and Dorothy, ever since he wore those fetching ear rings in Euro 2004).

Rooney to be investigated by FIFA for Violent Conduct 17 Years, 10 Months ago
Wayne Rooney is to be investigated by Fifa for violent conduct following his sending-off in England's World Cup quarter-final defeat against Portugal.
The England striker was dismissed on 62 minutes for appearing to stamp on Portugal defender Ricardo Carvalho.

There was confusion over whether Rooney was dismissed for the foul or for the subsequent push on Cristiano Ronaldo.

But England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has revealed Rooney was given his marching orders for the alleged stamp.

Theres nothing alleged about the stamp, it's plain to see on the tv coverage.

Beckham bites the bullet... 17 Years, 10 Months ago
I still think he is a great guy and a fine captain.
I lay the failure of the squad to one thing; too few games as a team.
Just as the Mexicans played the most games pre cup (25?) so England played the least (9?).
Never looked a cohesive whole.
Best game so far; Mexico vs Argentina.
Best goal? Argentina.
Best team? Probably Argentina.
Hopefully France will win with Zidane as Best Individual Performance.
