the fantasy of 'welfare reform'. 13 Years, 7 Months ago
It will never happen in my day.

seen and heard all my life with every new government in Oz,the UK and the USA.

As an example ( which the Thatcher / Major /Blair governments followed with relish) :

The Bush tax cuts to the richest are meant to stimulate jobs(the biggest scam ever).

During the Bush era tax cuts totaled around $1.3 Trillion.
Did the rich invest in jobs ?..not likely.

What they did is invest that $1.3 Trillion abroad. Creating cheap jobs in the Third World and actually worsening the job situation back in the USA which is now worse than the Depression era.

Blair has done likewise..as did the Oz conservatives...assist the wealthy to move their wealth abroad ,so much so that the corporation that owns the buildings the HM Revenue & Tax inhabits (bought at a knock down price to lease back at an exorbitant rent)is domiciled in Jersey...paying no tax in the UK (like a thousand corporations)..it's called "globalisation".

Tel me where the jobs are coming from and I'll believe in "welfare reform". George Osbourne sounds like a broken record to me.

But Andy Coulson is off the hook for a while !
