Sex offenders can be on the register for having consensual sex with their girlfriend and boyfriend - teachers who sleep with their 18 year old students - and so on. Flashers - people who surf for porn - and so on.

The definition of a SEX OFFENDER is someone who has sex or thinks about having sex.

Therefore based on the what the SUN covers I would estimate 90% of them are on the Sex Offenders Register

There is no point to this register because the REAL PAEDOS are generally not on it. So it gives a false sense of security. If a register could prevent abuse then they would have invented this years ago. This is a NEW LABOUR cover for covering up real abuse in my view.

Teaching had LIST 99. Which was good enough. In addition no teacher who was a danger would get references because if you were sacked or taken to court for Sex Abuse no school in the UK would touch you with a bargepole. That is why when they came to check if there were any teachers with convictions they found less than a handful who had only slipped the net because they had either lied about their identity ( The sex offenders register would not have stopped them ) or their offences had been considered not serious enough a problem.

So the REGISTER which costs £100 million a year to run in terms of Policing and responding to requests for CRB checks does not make any difference at all. It just takes away yet more rights from people in the name of NEW LABOUR's crazy NWO plans.

Just read it. Basically the photo is laughable. The cells are pretty small and though they were painted last year - they are rough like Wormwood Scrubs rather than the new jails that always get photos into the press.

The tray is kept in the cell and breakfast is given out with dinner in a little bag the night before.....

Evening association on G1 only happens on Tuesday and Wednesday and is around an hour because they split the wing into two groups for that one.

There is no shower break at 2p.m - it has to be done in association in the morning between 9 and 11. The showers are communal and everyone wears boxer shorts in G1 because there are some rapists in there. However, the rapists included some very pleasant and educated people. People who owned their own businesses and religious people. Not at all the stereotupe - in fact most professed their innocence.

He will be treated brilliantly in there - there is zero tolerance of any bad behaviour in G1. I would say to anyone if you get lumbered into Pentonville get into G1. There is a WAITING LIST of 2 - 3 weeks to get a cell in there - it took me 1 week because I was lucky and old and really did not fit in ( like George ) on the main wings because they are dominated by career criminals and youngsters. While I was on A wing and G wing when the doors were unlocked it was not uncommon for fights to happen within a minute - sometimes it was like a pressure cooker on those wings. I met several people in the VPU wing who had been hospitalised on the main wings in inter wing gang warfare. C wing in particular used to attack G wing at every opportunity during what is called FREE FLOW when all gates were open to allow prisoners to go to work or education at 9 and 2.

G1 does not participate in FREEFLOW and G1 prisoners are escorted everywhere they go. They dont get education apart from basic english either - even though the education suite is next door.

George will arrive for visits 15 mins after the main prisoners and will be escorted but once in visiting will be treated the same - though I think they may give him some sort of rooms like for lawyers meetings.

The food is good - and it is not chips with everything. Most days it is rice or potatoes and stews and curries. Sundays chicken legs. You get donuts twice a week !

In the evenings apart from Tues and Weds you are locked up from 5.30 to 8 or 9 the next morning. They cut the staff at around 7p.m and so for 12 hours nothing happens and if you need something in an emergency it takes up to 30 mins to raise an officer.

They will check on George every 30 mins because of his profile - because it is not unusual for suicide attempts on the wing. Luckily when I was there only one happened and I believe a rapist saved the guys life by cutting him down before he was dead.

It is funny how the newspapers make it all up !

The beauty of the papers when I was in Belmarsh was that they printed such rubbish as fact that all the other inmates, officers, chaplains, governors and staff read about me being beaten to pulp when I was standing there in front of them clearly untouched. As a result of solid proof that the papers print lies, they all universally decided I was innocent and the crap about my court case was also lies. I gained huge support thanks to the papers' silliness.

I am sure the "George gets beatn up" story is already written. No one comments on prisoners so the papers can make up what they want.

I would think he would want to stay in Pentonville where he can be protected in G1 from the media very easily and it is close to his home and family who will want to visit him. The London prisons are used to having star inmates as well. I dont see him getting attacked by anyone either.

Was there a VPU in Belmarsh ? Now George has been in G1 they will probably name it the VIP Unit ( Very Important Prisoner Unit ) The RECEPTION Staff at Pentonville call it "The House"......

Only a spur on the wing at Belmarsh when I was there 9 years ago; I wouldn't be surprised to see him move to Maidstone or Elmley - both of which were my homes; I fear he'll be the object of several sex stories bought by the Sundays; he'll survive - short termers usually do.

My cellmate moved to Maidstone. Had a good letter from him there - he says it is really good there. A long way from family in London though.

He is in cell G1 35 : I was in 37. The window faces a wall which is in fact a staircase which goes up because the bottom floor is a sort of basement. Outside his cell is another wall. This makes cells 35/36/37 quieter than the rest and better in my opinion. I was lucky to get 37. 35 was in excellent condition as well a few months ago - so it is one of the best cells I have seen. The food servery is next to the wall outside his door.

The only problem with his cell is that cockroaches and mice like these cells because they are near the laundry room which is next to 37 ( which makes these cells even more quiet )with the dampness. We used to use the library books to wedge under the doors at night and then used prison issue toothpaste to seal up every hole around the room. That stopped them - before that we used to have to get up in the middle of the night and chase tens of cockroaches around the room pronging them with a toilet brush and flushing them down the toilet - with the mice we managed to get an officer in who had big shoes on and stamped it to death !! There was mouse blood all over the door at the end of that !!

When I complained about the infestations they said it was part of life at Pentonville.

With George Best - Boy George - George Michael - Pete D - having been there - the place has had more world famous people than my London and Cambridge colleges !!! So our nickname for Pentonville ( all three cellmates I shared with had degrees ) was Pentonville University of Crime.

I am praying for George because he does not deserve to be there and having been in the virtually the same position ( just 6 feet away from where he is right now ) I can really empathise with how he feels and what he is hearing.

Though there is inter gang warfare on the main wings - on G1 there is none at all. It is totally safe down there. George is lucky they put him there and his experience will be very reasonable and I sure everyone there will feel sympathy because he has not committed a serious crime and it is because he is a celeb that he has been dumped in there.

I was dumped in there because of POLICE HARASSMENT and anti Middle Class bias. The courts are not fair towards people who are either famous or well educated. They exist to protect real criminals and keep giving them chances as if they are social workers. I have never been convicted of anything in my life and never expect to be - yet I have spent 8 weeks in Pentonville. That about sums it up - our justice system is a joke.

I hope with all this publicity the Government sorts out the poor conditions at this Prison. In 2010 I think it is not right that drugs are openly available and cockroaches and mice infest the building at night. Those sort of conditions should not be allowed in a civilised country.
