Poor Old George 13 Years, 7 Months ago
www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13...finement-safety.html

So he has made it to the "Vulnerable Prisoner Unit" at Pentonville.......where I spend nearly 8 weeks earlier this year......

The only problems he will face there are the cockroaches and mice which roam around in big numbers at night !!

There is a good friendly atmosphere in this unit because most of the people are either victims of bullying or very old. The main part of Pentonville is full of kids of around 20 - 25 - so for anyone older they beg to get into this unit to have some peace !! It is in fact very very quiet in there - if you have your TV on too loud etc other people would complain !!! The medical staff and staff are superb and will treat him excellently in that unit as well. Pete D stayed on the main wing I believe but there again it is easier to get drugs there !!!

George will be very popular I would have thought. There are two pool tables - food is served twice a day - and he will get a breakfast pack. His "exercise" if he chooses to do it ( and he probably wont ) is at 8a.m in the morning - and he will get library on Tuesday afternoon where he can have 3 books.

I really dont see what good being there will do him - and I speak with experience of being there.

I suppose I have no conviction and my stay in Pentonville was part of POLICE STATE UK trying to shut me up - and I have no drug or alcohol problems. The only issue I had was that I was allergic to what they washed the bedding in - so had to take anti hystimines otherwise I came up in red lumps.

On his own in a cell locked up for 22 hours a day George will just watch TV and make himself tea and coffee and read. That is all I did plus the exercise each day for 30 mins and the 2 hour association to play pool each morning between 9 and 11. There wont be any help for him with his drug problem - maybe an interview.....but 4 weeks is not long enough to sort it out. In addition if they are going to move him ( which makes no sense ) then he will have to go through induction all over again and end up with even less time to consider things.

Prison does not work. It should only be to protect the public from dangerous people. Only truly violent people should be deprived of their freedom. Not someone who has committed a driving offence. This is why our justice system costs so much - we jail people for stupid things.

Over 60% of prisoners in Pentonville have not been convicted of anything either.....so that in itself is quite ridiculous. Innocent until proven guilty has been turned on its head and now they remand people on the basis that "There is a case of anything against them" This needs to change as well so that no one goes into prison unless they have an allegation with evidence against them of a violent crime.

It will be interesting to see what George Michael says when he finally comes out - I hope he speaks out like JK has done. The public need to know what they are paying for and what goes on behind the walls of these old buildings.

I'm not sure he would have much to say at all !

let's face it..George is a bloody menace on the roads and needs to be taken off them. I agree that there is probably no real reason for him to be in jail as it won't serve as a deterent as he will simply hire a driver.

A whacking great fine would have been better and perhaps community service..maybe working in an accidents emergency clinic !

(not sweeping streets like Boy George and Naomi !)

What use will a whacking great fine do to someone with immense wealth like Michael. She should be in jail because at least then he can't be out on the roads driving and risking peoples lives.

He could easily afford a driver, but then again he wouldn't want his driver knowing what sordid acts he gets up to, whilst he is out.

Think he would quite enjoy sweeping streets. He could nip off to the local cottage during his lunch hour!!!
