He doesn't look that good to me. Roddick was overweight and hardly played in the last few months so was easy fodder and his first 2 opponents were not grass court players. Today Murray played a guy the same age who outclassed him in every department.
"Timid Tim" made 8 quarter finals and 4 semi finals at Wimbledon plus the Semis of the French and US Opens. It was just unfortunate for him that Sampras was around at the same time.He also spent 7 years in the top 15 in the world (4 of them in the top 10)." Hardly a failure.
