Beckham's german lawyer (the same who works for Princess Caroline) has just filed a suit in Cologne against the publisher Bauer demanding 18 million Euros compensation.
He was the most over-hyped player there's ever been. Monkeys at typewriters sat stunned at the hyperbole as this twit ballooned shot after shot miles over the crossbar, and then, after about 88 minutes, this boneheaded, pigeon-toed, fad-haired buffoon would finally get one on target and more ludicrous hype would begin. madness.

Well, maybe but that's not really relevant. He seems a nice enough guy and it's not on for some Albanian mafia moll to score some cheap bucks by telling smutty (and it seems quite untrue) stories.

Are you sure its not true ?
How can you know ?
Are you letting your preferences cloud you vision ?

The bloke has lived for so long with the PR machine whirring around him anyone would be forgiven for suspecting that even specious claims serve some sort of purpose for him. This whole story has developed so slowly, and sounds so flimsy, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's merely a clumsy attempt to divert attention from a genuine scandal. He's such a bore.
I'm sure because it's not true until Miss Nici has proved them to be true/fair comment etc - that's the way libel laws usually work I believe.
On the other hand, many high profile footballers work hard to promote an image of domestic harmony which often disappear in a puff of smoke, so despite how genuinely settled the Beckhams appear to be, theirs may yet be the latest relationship to go tits up, tabloid style.
