The false allegations industry has taken a dark turn this year. Teenagers and others have now cottoned on to the chance that EVEN IF THEY MURDER someone - if they can claim they had been abused by them first they stand some chance of getting aquitted such is the PAEDOHYSTERIA whipped up by the media.

Basically if you are an abuse victim you are allowed to FRAUD - CHEAT - KILL - MAKE UP LIES - and generally break the law because the new UK Justice System gives carte blanche if you claim abuse.

It is time the GOVERNMENT put a stop to "Abuse" as a defence or we will see an increase in murders where this becomes a reason.

The trial is ongoing so it is not yet known whether sexual assault (not abuse as you say) will be a successful defence, however, sexual assault (rape) is and should remain a defence. Sexual abuse is not and has never been a defence with regard to murder but in certain cases could be mitigation, depending on various factors.

Have to say this defense has been used successfully several times in murder trials in Oz and in most cases there was no history or supporting evidence to support the claims.

I think you will see it on the increase if it's successful in the UK.

Do you have an example of sexual assault being successfully presented as a defence where there was no evidence?

The VICAR killing almost certainly was invented after the murder and the initial trial...and the guy was aquitted a few weeks ago.

Not sure about Oz of course.

Evidence in a sex case = allegation now. The law does not need forensics or eye witnesses. In fact a group of people can get together ( called Trawling in the old days ) make up a story and all agree the story and then that counts as evidence even if there is nothing else and sometimes even if the accused can prove they were in another country or place at the time !!

I don't know about the vicar case. Do you have a link so I can comment on the case?

sorry but I would have to trawl the records to present real cases but in the last 10 years I can think of 3 gay murders where the defendants successfully claimed 'sexual assault' as a defense.

Perhaps they were genuine-all I know is the defendants were found either 'not guilty' of murder or received no custodial sentence.

Perhaps they were genuine-but when there is a raft of similar cases alarm bells ring !
