Soon to be echoed over here and everywhere else - the magnificent Blame culture; so strong these days - blame someone else instead of doing something about it. So, instead of working harder, people go on strike to protest against "somebody" (the government they elected; the banks they tried to rip off "gissa mortgage") - well it's something to do, innit?
I hate to be cynical about our wanky species but we humans are truly stoopid, aren't we?

If they dont agree then they should resign. I dont agree with STRIKING in any form. If your employer does not offer you the money or conditions you want then go and work for someone else. Quite a simple thing really.
How can strikes stop cuts ? The strikers have no chance. If the money is not there then what is the other option ?
Can see loads of people being sacked in the next 12 months. Spoken to friends who own businesses yesterday and they tell me it is getting worse and is now the worst they can ever remember in their lives out there.......
I can see big problems in the UK - but the public here know that blame is impossible to apportion.

Yep ... we're looking to make thousands redundant - so what do they do? Go on strike and withdraw their labour !
Makes them prime candidates I'd say.
The BA staff are still on some kind of go-slow - and all they have managed to achieve so far (apart from losing their firm millions of pounds and causing yet further job losses) is to lose their own perks !
You have to be truely barmy to see logic in this, don't you?
