Paul O'Grady ITV ratings disaster? 13 Years, 7 Months ago
Nobody seems to be talking or writing about this - I gather ratings have been awful; around 3 million - and tonight against Strictly could be the swansong. Afternoon format foolishly transferred to 9pm.

You're quite right, it's odd how this has gone under the radar - maybe he's too well-liked by the hacks. I like him myself, but even at teatime the show looked really badly produced (they just seemed to rely on the star to hold all it all together). I think he'd thrive on the BBC, with a proper production team around him. He's had several heart attacks and shouldn't be working so hard to keep his incompetant underlings in employment.

Too false for my tastes. I've never really liked him. His voice tends to grate on one after a while too...that Liverpudlian squawk. No not for me I'm afraid.

As predicted, Paul O'Grady's ratings collapsed opposite Strictly - down to 2.6 million for a 9pm ITV show? It's as big a disaster as Downton is a huge Sunday success. Bye bye Paul; back to afternoons on 5.
