Paul O'Grady ITV ratings disaster? 13 Years, 7 Months ago
Nobody seems to be talking or writing about this - I gather ratings have been awful; around 3 million - and tonight against Strictly could be the swansong. Afternoon format foolishly transferred to 9pm.

You're quite right, it's odd how this has gone under the radar - maybe he's too well-liked by the hacks. I like him myself, but even at teatime the show looked really badly produced (they just seemed to rely on the star to hold all it all together). I think he'd thrive on the BBC, with a proper production team around him. He's had several heart attacks and shouldn't be working so hard to keep his incompetant underlings in employment.

Too false for my tastes. I've never really liked him. His voice tends to grate on one after a while too...that Liverpudlian squawk. No not for me I'm afraid.

He did some travelogues a few years ago that I found very refreshing. The Beeb would get him concentrating on quality rather than this ITV tosh.

His book is No 1 in WH Smith - so he must have some fans somewhere (I'm, NOT one of them).

He has some terrifying fans who go to that show. They're like Daniel O'Donnell fans on crack.

As predicted, Paul O'Grady's ratings collapsed opposite Strictly - down to 2.6 million for a 9pm ITV show? It's as big a disaster as Downton is a huge Sunday success. Bye bye Paul; back to afternoons on 5.

He has Robbie and Gary on the show this week .... if their fans can't save the ratings then there is no hope !
