The "cuts" won't be so bad ...... 13 Years, 7 Months ago
Since it was announced that cuts were forthcoming the media have whipped us up into a frenzy, telling us all that we will all be on bread and porridge for the rest of our lives.

This has, in a way, suited the Government.

When the cuts are finally announced we will all breath a sigh of relief and think, "well, that wasn't so bad, was it?"

Most people wont notice the difference I agree.

Only those who have had their snouts in the Public Sector trough ( especially those in the North of England ) will suddenly find themselves out of work from their non jobs.

You seem to forget BROWN ( and Blair ) created TENS OF THOUSANDS ( probably around 200,000 ) jobs in their voter areas in order to BUY the votes at elections. These fake jobs running silly databases and pushing pieces of paper to each other are now totally redundant because they are easy to get rid of - none of them are needed.

In addition the Police was fattened up in order for the support of evil men like Sir Ian Blair - who sold the Police to New Labour for his extra money and staff and crazy hours. So the POLICE are a top target for the Tories because they have so much FAT on their budget. That is why they are bleating MORE than any other group of people. Note that the Schools and NHS are not making a tenth of the noise.

These cuts are 100% necessary and I hope we see 50% cuts in non jobs and the Police.

Remember Blair gave loads of money to his friends in the Justice system - they were a bunch of lawyers after all. The Prison growth and courts - all this is another area where cuts can be massive. Sentencing should be tough for violent crime and less for silly crime. We need to save money and paying £52,000 a year to lock up people for virtually nothing - and often on remand is something our country cant afford.

The cuts will be easy to enforce and yes I agree we will not notice them.

Mr Osborne said: "It's very hard to justify taxing people on much lower incomes in order to pay the child benefit to some of the better off in our society."

All sounding good ... esp the bit where no family on benefits will get more than the average working family.

At last ... an end to these scroungers who stay at home and knock out dozens of kids. (Will he also take into account how much these families cost us in education / healthcare costs too, as well as the Housing Benefit / Council Tax Benefit / Dole etc etc etc ?
