LFC are irrevocably damaged.
Tradition/history means nothing much, these days.
Henry - in Anfield tonight - will seek a lower/fire-sale price and mystery 'bidders' will come out of the woods; his mates!
Its all akin to buying a house with subsidence - and even K Daglish can't fix that.
Broughton is just there for his £500k fee; not bad for 6 months work - with legal indemnities for anything he has said or done....

The Texas ruling makes this affair all the more laughable - as was the initial decision to allow foreign company ownership, subject to a foreign jurisdiction.
Why did the LFC/RBS lawyers not anticipate this move?
Hicks and Gillett will not go quitely - and the club will go down in history as a role model (in how not to run/organise a football club).
Relegation is probable - as is a player exodus in January.

Well, they certainly should have.
Taking this case to the English courts alone - whilst being aware that another jurisdiction could also give a legally binding judgement - was not only foolhardy, but negligent on the part of the lawyers.
Its like putting on your central heating and leaving all the windows open. Useless.
Hicks is a canny and highly experienced businessman from Dallas; this game will now be played on his ground.
I see that there is also a Cayman Islands aspect to LFC's ownership; I wonder if the LFC/RBS lawyers have bothered to consider the relevance of that!
As someone said on here 'leverged buyouts of football clubs should be banned' - I agree. But so should complex/foreign ownership vehicles.

Of that, there is little doubt.
- expensive players who consistently underperform
- dire management (not so much Hodgson)
- outdated ground, needing urgent replacement
- highly geared
- a bank calling most of the shots
- threats of foreclosure and administration
- inept lawyers
- embroiled in international legal action
- jurisdiction dispute
- third from bottom of league
- relegation worries
- unhappy players (see press)
- negotiating with foreign buyers, again!
Its hard to imagine anything worse.
