Free Olympic Tickets For Schools - the error 13 Years, 7 Months ago
So schools can get 10% of their school into the Olympics for free.
The only problem I see is that how many TEACHERS will give up their only perk of the job ( The 6 week holiday ) to take kids to a major sporting event with all the problems and issues that brings. Some keenies will no doubt. But most teachers are to be found either sleeping or on a beach many miles away from London in the summer - hence why the roads of reasonably quiet.
With the main tickets being quite expensive we could be seeing half empty stadiums for most of the daytime of events unless tourists take up the slack. 80,000 seats three times a day is alot of seats to fill espcially to watch very boring athletics qualifiers. The finals will no doubt be full but I think they have overestimated demand.
England had 20,000 empty seats for a competitive game the other night with cheaper tickets and top Premier League stars on show.
