Well they have said today that the problem of on line grooming is massive ( which means 80% of the whole male population is a paedophile ) because speeding in big on the roads ( 70% admit to speeding at some point ) and yet this is MASSIVE so let's say 80% of all males are paedophiles.

Not only that it means 80% of Office Workers are paedophiles.

The only professions which can claim to have a below average level are things like teachers because CRB checks probably mean only about 10% of them are paedophiles ( and they have not been caught yet )

The rubbish the PAEDOHYSTERIA people come out with is incredible.

This story is all about vested interests trying to save the CEOP quango. Look at the ridiculously exaggerated warnings from Malcolm King, a former director of the agency. In addition, the information fed to the BBC disproves itself: if there really are just three policemen working on online sexual offences, how can they possibly know there are thousands of offences per day, or make an estimate of the number of victims?

So in summary
(1) shame on the BBC for allowing themselves to be spoon fed - very bad journalism.
(2) a transparent and rather pathetic attempt to safeguard useless publicly funded jobs in a vindictive and counter-productive hysteria industry
(3) this is an opportunity to direct funds away from creating crimes out of young people exploring sexuality through the medium of the internet (it's the new behind the bikesheds, I suppose) and towards REAL abuse which usually happens within the family or within the peer group.

I gave up years ago believing police and their shonky statistics. Quite simply-they lie through their teeth. It's all empire building. This is like that last creepy US AG Gonzeles who claimed there were half a billion kiddy porn websites...errr...how could he prove it ?..they just make up thses figures.

There was the old "50,000" figure that floated around for about ten years..."50,000 suspected terrorists" "50,000 this and that"..someone on the NY Times did a very funny article about it.

Anyway-there are going to be 500,000 civil servants out of a job soon and liable to get up to mischief so look out !!



PS: I agree ..for the BBC to allow themselves to be reduced to cheap tabloid rubbish is a disgrace.

When the cuts are announced tomorrow, ITK fully expects the police cut to be 12% ... which just co-incidentally happens to be the very same 12% that HM Inspector of Constabulary said earlier this year could be cut from the police budget without anyone noticing any difference at all !
