Think this is a unique case ?. Think again. As I've mentioned on here Vodafone in the UK avoided $6B in a similar fashion and had it written of by the tax dept.

This is the tip of the iceberg. Corporation profits have soared to obscene levels in the past 20 years. Nu Labour took Thatherism to unheard of hights. Everything not nailed down was sold off and the re-financed by the people via subsidies. The people paid for state assetts in the first place and now have to subsidise them.
