Whilst racism is abhorrent to me also, some actually believe that racism is not wrong though and believe in the inherent superiority of certain races so to say it is 'wrong' merely highlights the fact that people have opposing values and on who's authority can it be said it is wrong?

with a Jewish mother I qualfiy as a Jew but I abhor the Israeli government and support the Palestinians cause.

You simply cannot judge a race on the actions of some.

I'm reminded of the little 73 year old Jewish lady who travelled by foot everyday to take food to a Palestinian camp. She got shot in the shoulder by a sniper (suspiciously from the an Isareli checkpoint direction).

After 3 months recovery she was back delivering food by foot. That horrible wall stopped that.

There were 6 or so Israeli pilots who refused to bomb civillian areas during the last Gaza conflict. They all ended up on charges.

I live in a Jewish area and have Jewish acts on my label - so I have no issue with Jews or Jewishness.

My only reason for the initial post was that it highlights that every religion/culture has extremists. That when we rant and rave about Islam or any other extremists - we need to see our OWN extremists. No one race or religion has the moral high ground.

I agree totally with all the posts - and it is good that the majority view on here is one of tolerance and love to all races and religions etc.

Yes indeed there are millions of Jews who do not agree with Israel's actions.
The vast majority of Jews do not live in Israel.

The Hassidic Jews in the video I posted are one of the largest of all sects and mainly came out of Poland and the surrounds.

They actively oppose the establishment of Israel on religious grounds as their belief is that the Jewish race cannot return to Israel until the Messiah comes. They openly support Palestinians.

What happens in Israel now is political. It's a puppet of the USA in their quest to dominate the Middle East.

The enormous amount of Israelis who abhor the actions of their own government or fellow citizens in stealing Palestinian land are no different to you and I when we oppose the actions of our own governments or fellow citizens that we believe unjust.

Some either try to change things at the ballot box or in a different way (terrorism ?)..neither of which is always successful.

I choose a peaceful way but usually don't get anywhere

There is a complication in all this- Israel is a country built on one ethnic minority which leads people to believe all from that ethnic race believe like one single mind. That's a discrimination used against Jews since time immemorial.
