Obama : The Dream is over 13 Years, 6 Months ago
www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1325221...led-Connecticut.html

So now the country and his own party have given up on him. No change at all.

So what is the point of a President ? They seem unable to do anything ?

This surely shows how the World is not being run by Governments anymore.....it is being run by the NWO.....

A President who wants to do anything remotely radical has to sell his soul to Congress by agreeing to so many repugnant deals, so it ends up looking like a dubious sacrifice. I am a bit surprised, however, how inept Obama seems when cut adrift from a script.

This was a result of a timid Democratic Party that is still intimidated by the media and the Bush era.

They still control the Senate so they control what gets passed but basically, any change is stalled as they cannot formulate policy.

With 2 years still to go, Obama can turn this into a complete victory with a hostile House of Reps and the bunch of new nutters installed.

Clinton faced worse and still won.

If you can-listen to the debates between Kennedy and Nixon and you realise who low poltics have plunged in the USA.

And the reason is...
Democracy is run by the media.
And the media knows that only simplistic headlines and catchy extreme slogans attract our attention.

Caricatures work.

Black and white sells - shades of grey (reality) don't.

We are all going to Hell in a handcart. Or even in a Porsche.

Here is a country in which the population {or at least a sizeable part of it} believes that
taxation to protect an otherwise defenceless population against the {extremely remote} threat of nuclear attack is good and essential but taxation to protect an otherwise uninsured population against the {much more likely} threat of serious illness is bad and an attempt to import what they are pleased to call "European Style Socialism" to the Land Of The Free.
In two years' time they'll be going to the polls to reelect either the incumbent Obama or elect a new President, possibly even an extreme right wing, gun-totin' religious nutter with the world view of the hayseed she undoubtedly is {you know who I'm talking about...}.
It may well be that the US gets the President it deserves. The only trouble is we all have to live with their decision. Would it were different. It isn't. The future looks even less rosy today than it did yesterday. Americans are always telling us that the US is the best country in the world, but see universal healthcare as a particularly creepy sort of evil. I don't understand it, but it's their country.
And, right now, I feel as though they're welcome to it.

This is missing much of the history of the US. Take note of why Edmund Burke sympathised with the War of Independence whilst he abhored the French Revolution.

The Telegraph has read my mind and put it succinctly :

"In other words, this midterm election, while not exactly good news for Obama, isn't the nightmare some anticipated. The result means that the Republican Party will have plenty of opportunities to shoot itself in the foot over the next two years,"

Titor is a hoaxer. He must be. After all, there is no flux capacitor listed in the parts for his time machine.
