Ant and Dec do look paunchy and tired. I think I'll watch it for a bit to see the ludicrous Lembit suffer. And Havers is nice but has a foul temper, so that could be quite fun. But I agree, it's just very, very, formulaic and fatigued.

Oh dear. I loved it last night. Though predictable I still laugh at And and Dec - especially the "lunch box gag". I also think the contestants are an interesting (though predictable again) bunch. WHY did Gillian whoever even think about doing the show if she has an insect phobia? Also, the Nigel/Lembit thing will develop. Classic comment came from Neil Morrissey on ITV2 when talking about Sheryl's fall. "Well she's used to getting beaten up". (They moved on fairly swiftly after that comment).

Being predictable isn't all bad. It's a format and they work within that template. A lot of films have very similar plot lines but some are good some are bad.
From what I've seen I think this years crop of celebs should make good telly. Yes the tasks will have a famil;ar aspect to them but the reactions are what matters and that is what is difficult to predict.
