"What???" I didn't think such a thing existed either, but here it is.
Note my sizeable contribution and my attempt to draw atttention to a certain gobshite tabloid editor's part in GG's rise & fall. Usual silliness from a couple of fools, expected odd remark about JK too - but in the main astonishly constructive/reasonable - as well as highlighting that people still actually want to hear the music still.

Nice to see most contributors staying the right side of hysterical for a change.

I'm always puzzled by people linking personalities with professional output. The Isrealis do it with their ban on the music of Wagner (a very active anti-semite). But the man's music (and Gary Glitter's and Pete Townshend and just about anything JK had a hand in) still sounds great, just as the films of Polanski still have merit.

If we start using dislike of personal characteristics as an excuse to condemn someone's output, we very quickly find that everything is banned. Mozart was a gambler - ban all his music. Jay Kay is a dangerous driver - no more airtime for Jamiroquai then. Michealangelo was gay - hey let's smash David and paint over the Sistine chapel ceiling.

It's an old maxim that the only person who doesn't know that they're an idiot is that person. Seldom has this, it seems, been truer than in the case of LisaB599, your sparring partner apparent in the thread you refer to.
Meanwhile your own contributions and those of Grand Dizzy are a breath of fresh air. I can do no better than to quote GD {and I hope that, should he {?} ever read these pages I will be afforded a small forgiveness for shameless quoting without permission};

"...Many "normal" people like violent, gory horror movies, or even looking at photos of real crimes. To me, this all seems a bit sick, but just because I don't like it myself doesn't mean I want to lock them up for having different tastes. I think that's bigotry..."

and yourself, which I hope you won't mind me doing;

"...What Grand Dizzy was actually pointing out was that people - including yourself so it would appear - seem to think viewing unpleasant images of children is a hanging matter, whereas other people watching murders, mutilations & other real life horror - things copiously scattered around the net - are somehow just expressing their rights to be curious."

Both these quotes appear to me to be right on the money.

the American Civil Liberties Union has said for years you could beat a 16 yr old half to death and do less time than looking at a naked pic of them.

What a plonker of a mayor-she should be bombarded with useless info.
