Saw the end. Agree it looked awesome - might try and watch it on I PLAYER to see the whole thing later.

My abiding memory of Peterhouse, apart from a rather lovely May Ball there, was the news we all heard that a Classics lecturer has been rushed out - under a blanket - to hospital, while attached to a vacuum cleaner. It was said that it appeared to onlookers that a baby elephant was being smuggled out of the grounds.

Wasn't the Tom Sharp novel based on that college ? Which DAVID JASON starred in the TV Series version. That was very funny especially the "condom scene".

Very good story Pru - made me laugh !

That was Porterhouse Blue. One from the days when Channel Four showed programmes that were worth watching.

Isn't that sad? It was such a good channel before it concentrated on entertaining post-pub young blokes.

That is it - absolutely brilliant parody of life in a Oxbridge college and quite near the truth to be honest back in the day....anyone seen the article on VARSITY magazine today in the mail about the "topless student" who is a very pretty curvy young lady I might add and so I am sure sales of the VARSITY magazine will go through the roof ! Very different now to the 80s.

I thought the Belgian chap who knew the word "heuristic" was particularly impressive.
