Found this and think it is a very interesting respource explaining how the Police take ordinary things and twist them into evidence against people and how they ignore the real explanations.
So if you are "walking the dog in the park" - that can be turned into you have "intentionally purchased a dog in order to get into a park to commit crime" just by having the dog ( get the idea )
This is the way in which people are convicted when they innocent time and time again. The facts are twisted into meaning the opposite.
Another example. " A school trip photo with a teacher in it" becomes evidence that " you are in a relationship with the people in the photo and go on dates"
All of this relies on "innuendo" and "suggestion" and basic assumptions of "no smoke without fire" e.g You are a celeb therefore people want to offer you their bodies so you would not resist......you are a teacher so you like children......you are a vicar therefore you are repressed.....you are a catholic priest therefore you must be gay and like young altar boys and child porn......these are IDEAS that the media has programmed into everyone in order to make the corruption of innocent facts into evidence against someone.
Worth a read and then it explains why so many obviously innocent people end up behind bars.
I believe over 50% of the Prison Population are innocent at least - and certainly another 25% have been convicted of a more serious charge than they are probably guilty of.......
