TOPIC: Ann and Wagner
#65394
Ann and Wagner 13 Years, 5 Months ago
My feeling on these two is that Ann is very funny and also quite brave; doing some definitely tricky moves whilst Anton puts in the real energy.
The result is entertaining.
But Wagner is not; just dreadful.

Yes, the hacks are grouping them together in a lazy way as 'protest votes', but with Ann you can see a person actually having a unique experience, whereas Wagner is just a bit player in the usual Cowell pantomime.

I agree. I'm really enjoying watching Ann and Anton. Anton is the perfect partner for Ann and vice versa. Anton must be enjoying the experience and exposure.

Wagner is just plain bad and boring. It's no longer even a funny joke. Those voting to keep him in are wasting their money now. They've made their point and there is no way he's going to win.

Even Britt on I'm a Celeb sang better than Wagner on last night's Celeb show.

An excellent protest against Ann's dangerous views on women's right last night at a venue that she attended in London. We shouldn't let her obvious dancing talent let us think she is a nice person...

Ah Barn; I disagree with you; she has no dancing talent but a great ability to entertain; I disagree with most of her social and political views but don't think that means she's not a nice person. Protests are fine as long as they are against the policies and only use the person as an excuse to express those views.

I'm sorry to be a grumbler but I really struggle to understand these shows. From the outset they are so manipulated and overhyped that any originality is lost before the show airs.

I had never heard of this Wagner character until last weekend and when I looked him up online, I struggled to see what all the fuss is about.

As for the Come Dancing phenomenon, I much preferred it whan it was on late in the evening with proper dancing and less whipping up the audience.

Then again I am probably not the target audience.

I think one lovely thing coming out of her SCD experience is she's learning to take things a bit more lightly. I remember that Louis Theroux documentary she did, when her delightful Mum kept wandering off to chat to Louis after Ann had banned him from talking to her, and she took it so seriously. I think, at the very least, she's finding more fun in life these days. And she's out of power, so it's easier to like her.

I'm a huge fan of Wagner: Parsifal, Tannhauser, and all his other greatest hits.

Wagner represents all those who are fed up with the charade of X factor. He's making a mockery of the show and I love him for that.

I like the way Louis Walsh looks at the audience every week shrugging his shoulders with a 'how the 'I don't know how the f*** that happened either!' look on his face.
