With London at MINUS 4 this morning at 9a.m and Wales reaching MINUS 17 and Scotland MINUS 13 and most of England around MINUS 10...and all of this in November ! it seems that "Global Warming" has a real grip of the UK weather.

This year apart from JUNE which was lovely - the summer was a damp washout. January to February saw nearly 6 weeks of continuous snow and sub zero temperature.

2010 will have 4 months of "Polar" weather at this rate if this lasts through December as some weather forecasters are predicting.

Similar early snow has been happening around the Northern Hemisphere this winter as well - so it is not just confined to the UK.

The "GULF STREAM" was effected by the "GULF OIL DISASTER" and has slowed and even moved Northwards as well because it is not as strong as it should be.

Therefore the temperate climates of Northern Europe on the Western seaboard may well not hvae the usual protection against the cold coming down from Siberia and the North Pole. So it is possible that the weather could get colder and snowier as I warned in June because of the environmental cost of the oil disaster.

Snow is forecast for London this week as well - so the media may go into overdrive about the weather as well.

It would be great if we can have a White December to cheer us all up with the Christmas lights.

LO : I have decided that each year my decorations will go up at the start of ADVENT ( do you remember the BLUE PETER Advent Candles ) in celebration of the only brilliant thing to have happened in history ! I can understand that some will see Christmas as a one day event - but I see it as the culmination of Advent - hence "Lights" especially are relevant to me as a Christian. Hope this makes sense

As for Global Warming - ahem....SNOWAGEDDON seems to disagree with the East Anglian Armchair Scientists !
