I watched Rosemary's Baby last night for the first time in a few years. It is quite simply a wonderful film. What Polanski does is grab the viewer by the hand and take them into the film...so as you become part of it. The only directors I know who can do that or have done that are Spielberg and Kubrick.

Rosemary's Baby is beautifully produced and the cast is wonderful. Mia Farrow had that childlike vulnerability without the pouting blonde Monroe looks, which very few could achieve even today.

Whatever anyone may think about Polanski the human being no-one can doubt he was a remarkable film director. A remarkable and hugely gifted man.

Polanski is a genius and Rosemary's Baby never dates.

Actually most of his films are very watchable years later including The Fearless Vampire Killers which is very camp.

..off subject but just watching Johnny Depp in an old movie and reminded what a truly great actor he is.

Polanski is certainly not as overrated as Stanley Kubrick and Rosemarys Baby is a brilliant film and if not scary it is very unsettling especially with the use of the creepy Dakota building - John Lennon was shot outside it. Mia Farrow was apparently served her divorce papers during filming by Frank Sinatra!

The recent "Ghostwriter" was a pretty solid thriller, although not one of his best.

Ghostwriter was too long and painfull to watch I sat in the cinema with my ex and both was bored.
