TOPIC: Student protests - I repeat

Student protests - I repeat 13 Years, 5 Months ago
I'm delighted at last they feel they must protest; I shudder that it's only for pure self interest.

Virtually no complaints when our money was used to murder innocent Arabs.

Personally I'd prefer my taxes to rise instead of using the cash acquired to kill women and children in my name.

And they all need to study some politics instead of History of Art or whatever else they do. Political protest isn't like a day trip out to Alton Towers. It's not 'fun'. Most of that bunch looked like they couldn't give a damn about anything but the idea that they were being filmed.

JK in 2003 these students were between the age of 8 and 12 years old - so you cant really judge them on what happened then !

This "new" generation are less tainted by the MSM ( Main Stream Media ) because they are willing to get their news via a wider variety of sources. Hence they potentially have more open minds.

The way in which they have been dealt with today is reminiscent of the way protesters were dealt with in the Eastern Communist Block when they were met with overwhelming force and aggression and eventual kettling and arrest.

I have a feeling that each time the Police do this to kids as young as 13 years old - the general public sit up and take notice....the Police dont even treat hardened criminals this way - the word "State Bullying" springs to mind.

Nick Clegg said he wanted FREE EDUCATION for students and vowed to get rid of fees. That is why many students are so angry. They put Clegg in power then he has turned his back on them. At that age they are too young to understand that a Politician's promise is about as good as a cheque from Dodgy Jim's Second Hand Moving Car Dealers who are featured on Watchdog.......and more likely to change.

I am impressed with these youngsters and wish the older generations would get off their sofas and join them in the cold to protest against the Wars and against the Cuts on the vulnerable.
