I loved Eric and Ernie 13 Years, 4 Months ago
Very clever; it ended with them finally making it.
Victoria Wood and Vic Reeves were fantastic.

I really enjoyed it to. I suspect very few people knew how it all started for them. There's room for a sequel. My memory is that they eventually got back on TV via Lew Grade and an ATV series. (I remember the Beatles being on one show). They then went back to the BBC because Ernie Wise believed the future was "colour TV" and ATV were years behind. Those BBC years were their best years. They made a mistake going to London Weekend, as their writer (Eddie Braben) was still contracted to BBC. Their LWT shows were never as good, even when they were finally re-united with him. So the story could continue...

There are biographies. Accurate ones. As for TV - show some old shows.

Brilliant.

They were the best

A sequel is a great idea.

Thought it was excellent.

No it isn't. Why not use some imagination if you're a dramatist? J B Priestley used Tony Hancock's life to craft a new character in London End. That was far richer and more honest. Stop digging up the dead for reasons of lazy hype. Biography is a damned hard job. Leave it to people who not only care but also know what they're doing.

I did look at Wiki last night, and, believe it or not, though I wrote my comment above only from memory, I think I only got one fact wrong. They moved to Thames TV, not LWT, There are lots of DVDs of their material avauilable, but why don't TV stations like UK GOLD re-show all the old shows instead of repeating Only Fools and Horses and The Vicar of Dibley every week?
