Best Oscars for Firth, Rush and Bonham Carter.

I'm afraid I found it all a bit sloppy. And when I was a kid - not THAT long ago - actors used to go to the sound archive to get period accents right. Now they just aim for a vague 'posh' accent (copied from other lazy TV actors) and then camp it up a bit. Even Bonham Carter - I mean, she must have countless relations who speak just as she should have sounded - sounded like a soap star trying for her first posh role! Bizarre.

I haven't seen it yet. How was my pal Guy Pearce as Edward?
