Egypt - has West backed itself into a corner ? 13 Years, 3 Months ago
"President Mubarak and military leaders view our military assistance program as a cornerstone of our mil-mil relationship and consider the $1.3 billion (820 million pounds) in annual FMF (foreign military funding) as untouchable compensation for making peace with Israel," says a Febuary 2010 cable aimed at briefing US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Admiral Mike Mullen for a visit.

Very good article showing that by relying (for torture / abuse) on these dictatorship-puppets the West may have backed itself into a corner and be left with little support / influence (just as it did in Iran).

odd happenings..

with Biden saying Murbarack is no dictator and should not resign (some dictators are more equal than others) and the Telegraph says Wikileaks has revealed that the USA is behind the riots.

which basically shows that Obama & Biden have no idea what is going on and the CIA operates as usual.

When this is over - can't be long now - the Egyptian people may be interested to know who made / supplied the tear gas that has been used on them ......

President Mubarak’s Steals 40 Billion.

President Mubarak’s stash is worth 40 billion dollars as his personal worth or what he stole from the Egyptian people has risen to epic proportions.

www.politicolnews.com/pres-mubaraks-steals-40-billion/

* it never cease to amaze me how these people steal so much money and think they will get away with it when they are so high profile.

If they stashed 20 million away in a Swiss Bank account they could probably flit off and none would be the wiser.

Shah of Iran, Marcos, Thaksin..the list is endless.

so much for VP Joe Biden and 'Murbarack is no dictator".

##note-he also owns Vodafone in Egypt..where is our 6 Billion pounds in tax owed ?

It's game over ....

The West has prevaricated and dug itself into a hole.

We should tell Mubarak that its time to go now ! The Yankers can fly him out of the country (best not to go to Saudi Arabia - as that is next on the list).

To continue to "prop up" this regime - by telling Mubarak (the problem !) to "reform" is not going to achieve anything - other than prolong the situation and produce further chaos, death and destruction. (There are already reports of dozens of bodies in the streets).
