TOPIC: Obama and Cameron on Egypt
#67768
Obama and Cameron on Egypt 13 Years, 3 Months ago
Surely the only sensible comment is "none of your business" especially as there are already far too many truisms in the world.

I always remember Blair very nearly saying in Parliament that Iraq should have a nice free Christian democracy.

Naom Chomsky writing in The Guardian today is correct...the idea of a true democracy in the Middle East scares the pants of the West.

The people now have no choice .... but to organise guerilla warfare.

They either have to accept the current situation - or fight for freedom.

Remember, when Mubarak seize power in 1981 he promised he would only rule for one term ! So much for his promises ! When September comes will the situation to be "too fragile" for him to step down ?

Very sadly Egypt will have to turn the street into Iraq and Afghanistan for them to make further progress.

Whose fault will that be?
Those who financed, armed, and encourage the dictatorship to oppress its people (the same ones who did the same for Saddam - till he refused to kow-tow !)
