Egypt protests - the biggest crowds so far ...... 13 Years, 3 Months ago
Hundreds of thousands of Egyptians have poured into Cairo's Tahrir Square for the latest protest calling for Hosni Mubarak's government to step down.

The BBC's Jim Muir, in the Egyptian capital, says it is the biggest demonstration since the protests began on 25 January.

The Yankers are all over the place on this ... first insisting on change ... then backtracking a bit ... now today its "US urges faster change in Egypt" - www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-12400422

William Hague is the main one showing leadership at the moment -

'You won't fool the children of the revolution !"

crikey..there's hope for you yet!

sadly I think the children will be disappointed as new regime..same same old regime.

Sad because the Arab people are natural socialialists and should all be sharing in their oil wealth. It makes one weep when you think of all the money poured into useless weapons of war by the USA. The whole world could be housed and fed.

No-one would want to blow you up then.

We well remember, don't we, the joy and uprising that over threw the Shah in Iran, replacing him with those nice kind religious people who so respect human rights.

Meanwhile in our great UK democracy, the tabloids are howling "pull out of the Human Rights agreement".

Alice, you see this White Rabbit...

Off with her head.

Indeed veritas !

Rumours awash on the net that Mubarak will stand down tonight - handing over to his "annointed" VP Sulemon (the Intelligence Chief - largely responsible for all that torture etc).

Which is why, JK, it is so important that we listen to the Egyptian people - BEFORE they lose hope and turn to the Mullahs.

I don't think it's a case of "turn to" ITK - people who want power, be they dictators or religious leaders or "democrats" like Tony and David, know very well (with the help of the C listers - Coulson or Campbell or Clifford) how to obtain it.
