Keep it up you are doing a fine job. I only wish that you could get the message out to more people.
The system with dealing with sex related cases is all wrong, and biased toward the protection of the accuser who in the case when its false they can do their evil work with impunity it seems.
I too was wrongly accused and was blackmailed by the system in that I was told I would get ten years if I entered a not guilty plea. I had a family and so I agreed to plea guilty to get a lesser sentance.
My accuser had little or no evidence and the police had siezed documents that would be benificial to my case that they would not release so I couldn't use them. My accuser never ever came to court and the police witnesses only offered hearsay evidence of very little value. It didn't matter anyway I was caught and agreed to plea guilty for a lesser sentance - my fault. I just couldn't take the chance.
If someone makes false alegations surely the police and courts should be forced to pass the sentance that their victim would have got had the conviction gone through on to hose who make these false claims.
At the time my lawyer told me that there are thousands of false claims made every year. The system seems to be results driven at the cost of justice and true transparency. My experience of the people that I had to become involved with such as social workers, doctors and probation officers were that they were less informed and equipped to run these sort of cases that the average man in the street since they have all become wrapped up with being PC. etc. I formed the oppinion they were all nuts and they shouldn't be paid in washers.
I was very bitter and twisted about it all but it has been more than twenty years past and I am over it but being a very black and white person i.e. no grey areas, I still have difficulty in the way these things are done.

Thank you. There are thousands of victims of false allegations - sadly many are dead. Lives have been destroyed. Criminal liars have grown rich and fat on compensation and media fees cash. The law has got slacker and slacker; with the best intentions (to punish genuine offenders) but with horrifying results. The media loves it - more lurid cases; better stories. Most victims quietly give up. Very few continue fighting for future victims. And even fewer reporters or editors or proprietors dare to expose the truth. Women and children make much better "victims" for the media than men who can be portrayed as vile perverts. The reality is a complex story; hard for lazy journalists to describe in words of one syllable or headlines with extreme impact.

The true villains are the intelligent and decent media people willing to close their eyes and genuine, well intentioned police, lawyers and judges who simply turn the other cheek. Idiots can be forgiven. Fools can be understood. But cowards are a disgrace.

So long as the powers of Fleet Street and the Amoeba population keep exaggerating their own importance, the rest of the can go hang. Sad but true!
