I have an annoying habit of exclamation marks. Actually I don;t see many pieces about JK so it would be good if they are posted here. Given his contribution to popular culture we should read more !

I find the whole matter of reporting on celebrities that have had a run-in with the law interesting as the media imposes a strange moral code upon itself that is not only unfair (once a conviction is spent persons are entitled to pursue their career and life unhindered) but also hypocritical and one that has the goal posts moved constantly to suit the tabloid prerss.

Example : there is a report in the wondrous News of The World sensationalising Prince Andrew's visit with a New Yorker on the strength the man was convicted of a sex charge with a 17 year old teen. All sorts of sordid implications are made against Andrew (by a newspaper that has been breaking the law with phone hacks).

However not a word,..not a peep..not a mention anywhere in any outlet I can find that the former PM Tony Blair spent holidays ( with his children)and is a close friend of Silvio Berloscuni who is accused of similar..using a 17 year old teen for prostituion services. ( even worse-a prominent show biz agent Max Clifford implies every Italian man wants to be Silvio !..no condemnation from anyone over that !)

Some say it's a myth, others it's a true tale- I tend to believe this : When Nikita Kruschev made his first visit to the USA he roportedly said to JFK after reviewing press reports : "how do you get your reporters to say exactly what you want and be so compliant,we have to threaten ours with jail ?"
