I love March. Winter is drawing to a close, the nights and mornings are getting lighter, and we have summer to look forward to. And it's almost the weekend. I'll be up in the Lake district, with nothing planned beyond walking the fells with my two boder terriers, and perhaps a bite to eat in a local pub. Bliss.

A lovely part of the country - pity about the Cancer / Leukaemia risk (from Windscale, Sellafield or whatever they call it these days).

"In 1993 the Government’s Health and Safety Executive confirmed that in Seascale the incidence of Leukaemia and Non Hodgkins Lymphoma was 14 times the national average and twice in other areas of West Cumbria. I was walking on the east side of Cumbria, so I think I was safe. No signs of cancer as far as I'm aware. The two dogs seem ok too - Not that they stood still long enough to catch anything. Spring is on its way!

Dixie - our fabulous Falling Red boys who portray Gogmagog in the new movie are from Cumbria - and are drumming up quite a storm there. If you like AC/DC (my favourite band) you'll like them.
