Help! What do I do about 65 - My Life So Far? 13 Years, 1 Month ago
With just under 1000 hardback copies sold or given away, we've run out.
I don't want to reprint. I'd like a paperback but simply don't have anywhere to store them or distribute them (most of ours sold on Amazon).
If it's still 10-1 ratio, a publisher could sell up to 10,000 copies but I suppose retail (what retail?) won't stock them (why not? Mad).
Any suggestions? The paperback would need work (Index, for a start, and dozens of factual corrections found by friends and readers).
Incidentally, it IS available on Kindle and has done quite well there.

I don't know how Stephen manages - it would bore me to tears to do one. I'm already bored by my own stories and I frequently see friends' eyes glaze over when I start rambling!

Actually JK the talking book idea is genius - done in the style of your videos it would be absolutely superb, something decent to listen to on long car journeys! Go on, you know you want to!

Why don't you get the NoW to give it away as a free paperback. At a later date you could sue them for unpaid royalties and claim they were selling your book for £1 and giving away a free newspaper with it!
With circulation at around 2,700,000, if you claimed a royalty of say 20%, you stand to make £550,000 less legal costs of course, not to mention the free publicity.
