TOPIC: Die Another Day

Die Another Day 13 Years, 1 Month ago
I'd never really watched the final Brosnan Bond film (he was so wonderful in Mamma Mia) but rather enjoyed it - and could Halle Berry be the cutest Bond girl ever? And Madonna's theme the worst ever?

For me, Brosnan was one of the best Bonds: cool, suave and edgy with a decent hairstyle that doesn't look like a wig (a lot of Irish men have hair that is combed in such as way to make it look like a syrup).

Trouble is, the later Bond films seem to have blended into one. I can give you detailed plot analysis, cast details and production facts of all the older Bonds, but for the life of me cannot recall Die Another Day!

I liked him in the movies he's done since. The Tailor of Panama was a nice little movie, as was The Matador.

I wish one day they'd do Bond as a period movie, setting a story back in the Fleming era. Then they'd be forced to ditch the silly gimmicks and long-winded action scenes and actually get a good screenplay. It'll never happen but it should.

I love the Madonna track to this film its brilliant, typical William Orbit sound
