I'm all for people power changing regimes although I'd prefer them doing it peacefully.
I'd quite like the people of Britain to insist that the judiciary and the government change the laws that allow liars or mistaken or greedy people to get away with false allegations, but I wouldn't encourage killing people to obtain that result.
And I don't think other countries should band together in support of one side against the other.
If Saddam was that bad, we should have sent in a crack squad to eliminate him.
Ditto Hitler.
Ditto Gaddafi.
But who makes that judgement? Are any of us sufficiently and honestly informed?
The usual source for information is the media - be it News of the World or Twitter. And, being part of it, I know not to trust it.

Providing what comes after is better than before all well and good.
Trouble is as in the cases of others in the area,a la Iraq, iran etc change often makes things worse!
Notice Camerloon and Obummer have made no attempt to use force here,or in any country that has any kind of credible military deterrent.
if they really want to change things for the better, and not for publicity/revenge then Iran/Syria/Korea/Uzbekistan etc should have been on the menu long before Gadaffi.

Give it time ... Rome wasn't built in a day, ya know !
There would have been no attack on Gaddafi IF he had not started murdering his own people (through desperation).

The West would simply have let events take their course (as they did / are doing in Egypt (elections in Sept) / Tunisia.

Its not up to us to tell others WHO they should have as their Government. Fortunately, in Libya, we have alot of respect (have you seen then new Government cheering the West for helping them?)

The West has alot to answer for ... can you really blame the Iranians for being bombastic (they probably saw what happened to their neighbours in Iraq !)

So according to the knowitall bible you have to murder your own people to get attacked by NATO?
Well what's been happening in the countries I mentioned? There's blood on the hands of Syria/Iran/Korea etc,but not a sight of action.
The truth of the matter is both you and I cannot be certain exactly how much support each side in Libya has.But we do both know this has been sanctioned as the easy option, while the real misery goes untouched...oh yes oil.....now there's the real reason.
