Well, angel ... as Misrata looks like getting bombed tonight (so the new Government can continue to sweep west - four towns taken in last 48 hours) ... I don't think it will be long, do you?

Also the new Government now control most of the oil (100,000 - 130,000 barrels a day) and have struck a deal to market it through Qatar.

btw - Any "delay" in getting rid of Gaddafi is entirely the fault of NATO - who could not agree a position earlier (LOL) !

2nd btw - ITK should always be spelt in capitals !

(PS - I'm coming up there in a couple of weeks. Canna ... will the sea have thawed by then?)

itk, about 2 weeks ago you said Gadaffi would be gone very soon. At the beginning of the week you said to JK something like 'let's come back to this at the weekend' implying Gadaffi would be gone by then.

My problem with you itkis that it is pointless debating with you. You are not interested in the issues at all, you just want to be right, and you have your head so far up your own watcha call it that you actually get off on people disagreeing with you because you become the centre of attention.

I think most of us know here that sooner or later Gadaffi will go. You seem hell bent on telling everyone 'I told you so'. No you didn't.

Sad, isn't it?

Hi itk. Thanks for the update, time will tell and don't be so defensive. I do hope your stay up here is to your satisfaction. Care to share where you are heading. It's very typical of outsiders to generalise when there are so many cities up here.

This particular political issue has inspired an absolute nadir in this forum's discussions. It won't be long before we get cheerleaders and green-inked letters.

The "clue" was in the statement, angel !
Canna ! Went there a few years ago for a short spring break ... absolutely beautiful in Spring (no midges yet).

The island only has one shop (a kind of post office, cum tourist info centre). They only stock tins !! - but have an listing of everything in the mainland supermarket. If you get your order in before 4pm, they collate the orders, fax them over and the goods are delivery on the next morning ferry.

See - I told you fresh food had to be imported in Scotland !!!!

'Gaddafi troops force rebels back'

www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-12892798

Seems with all the might of NATO our Arabic Robbin' Hood is by no means out of action yet.

I'm watching dear. Been away for weekend without any links to media (just lovely). Looks like Gadaffi's still there as far as I can see. Reports are saying there are still plenty of pockets of resistance.
