The song is very derivative but there are so many reference points I doubt if you'll be getting any copyright infringement suits. I think that the song could be an excellent one for a movie/musical as it's catchy with a strong hook and meaningful lyrics. The success or otherwise of the song will depend on how its used in the movie but if the rest of the material is up to this standard and you've got a good story to wrap around them then you could have created something very worthwhile, well done.
