I really get the feeling he's breaking ranks from the party line and cannot help being honest - there are legitimate claims for both sides, which illustrates that we - and NATO - should not be involved. And in his latest report he has admitted something very important - most Libyans want Gaddafi to stay. Which makes this ridiculous situation even more appalling - what on earth are we - is anyone - doing supporting a minority rebel movement? The ramifications are extraordinary. Should another country - or NATO - back the citizens of Brighton if they decided to split from the UK?

I'd back the citizens of Brighton if they wanted to split from the UK I'm not sure if anyone really knows what the majority of Lybians want one way or the other. Bowen gets better and better - prompted by the pro-rebel BBC News presenter he refused to go along with rebel claims of deaths and wounded; he's not in any way pro Gaddafi but neither is he willing to back the rebels.
