TOPIC: The M1
#69878
The M1 13 Years ago
If there is proof that there is a bias, self centred approach (usually the south east) to media coverage then step forward the M1 catastrophe. A road is blocked for Christs sake. Isn't that a local news issue? Why should anyone else in the UK care?

I sort of agree. They never mentioned the sheep blocking our lane on Breakfast news this morning. But there again, the M1 does snake all the way up to Leeds, so quite a large proportion of the country could be affected.

Not just the fire and closure either, even this is big news:

Surely it is not proper ironing if the iron is not plugged in? And "extreme"? - the road is closed!

Not totally connected, but I've got to make a journey from J4 to J36 on the M6 after work. So, to find out how busy the M6 is, what better than to check out the traffic update website www.keepmoving.co.uk ? Except when I've tried to log on this afternoon, the message I get is SERVER ERROR - TOO BUSY!!! So, could somebody build a service so you can check how busy the internet is please??!! HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY!
